I have drawn some whio. There are six baby whio on the rocks beneath their mother. They are on the bank of the Tongariro River near where I live.
I like whio because I get to see them a lot and I think they look quite nice. They are special to New Zealand because they are native here.
I feel good when I see them because they only live in environments with very clean water. I enjoy watching them and I think they are interesting. I also like the baby whio.
In my drawing the whio are sitting in the sun feeding and resting.
