This is me with a giant kōkopu
This big fish in my picture is half as long as me!! I am 120cm tall.
But I would never really catch one because they live in deep dark places and because there are not that much of them anymore. Humans are taking over their home’s in the water they like.
I have seen little Kōkopu in the bush by our house. Maybe giant ones will live there one day.
It is funny that they don’t have fish scales, just skin. And their babies go into the sea even though they live in fresh water.
