Orakanui is my favourite place because it is safe for animals to live there. The fences keep predators out, like stoats, hedgehogs and cats.
We went there on New Years day 2018 and we saw lots of kakas flying. We saw one picking bits of bark off a tree.
We found heaps of rubbing panels. I saw a takahe chick eating some food from it’s mother’s mouth. I loved the walk in the forest.
I found the Kiwi Guardians post on the side of the path. At the end we went to a playground area and found some more rubbings. Some were hidden among other pictures. When we went to the café I found more rubbings.
