This is Kasey in a kanuka tree on Ponui Island.
Ponui is an island near Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf and it has a big population of kiwi and some Kaka... but no kea other than Kasey.
We camped here for our summer holiday and could hear the kiwi and ruru calling every night.
My favourite thing about Ponui is the wide open space and ocean.
