I found an egg. I was with Mum and she helped me find the egg. It had broke a little bit but it was blue. It was a bird egg.
It was a very little bird maybe but the bird wasn't in the egg. There was nothing in the egg. My sister, Anabelle, guessed that it might have been a fantail because there were lots of fantails in the bush. They flew and we made kissy sounds on our hands. I picked the egg up very firmly so it wouldn't break.
I found a skeleton leaf too with no green only white. And it was very soft and it was shaped like a pointy sword at the top.
I liked going in the bush. The bush was on Mt Manaia and it is very near where we live.
