Lio didn’t have to think twice when choosing the chairs. The orb chairs immediately caught her eye. I was a bit doubtful at first because they really are enormous. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and I haven’t regretted it since.
Like I said the orb chairs are really big and the shape allows you to sit in them in multiple ways, almost in every way possible actually. In the average camping chair you’re limited to the shape it takes. The orb’s specific shape also takes the wind off your back, which is a huge bonus on those hillside campgrounds. The finishing touch is that it’s padded for that extra bit of comfort. In my experience I’ve found that the standard camping chair gets quite uncomfortable during those long nights at the bonfire. Not with these babies. You can spend the whole evening in them and even fall asleep while chilling with a blankie in your orb cocoon.
Getting the chair back in the sleeve takes a bit of practice, but it isn’t rocket science. Travelling around in a Toyota estima, they do take quite a bit of storage space when folded. The comfort they’ve added to our trip makes it all worth it though.
If you’re travelling light or are limited in space, the orb chair is not for you. If you are looking for maximum comfort and are able to shift some stuff around in your vehicle for these babies, you’ll be in for a treat.
