Curved Frame Design & Weather Shield System
Drawing inspiration from over 35 years of Kiwi Camping’s dome tent designs, the Tuatara Summit features a unique curved rain fly and frame with our Weather Shield system. This design directs water away from the tent, minimizing condensation and ensuring a dry interior, even in challenging weather conditions. The large windows can be left open providing year-round ventilation in any weather.
Exceptional Waterproofing and Durability
Constructed with high-quality materials, the tent boasts a 10,000mm waterproof rating on all fabrics, UV 50+ protection, and an anti-mould coating. The 280g ripstop polyester body dries quickly and resists mould, eliminating the need for pre-seasoning. Double-stitched, fully seam-sealed seams and windows enhance durability, ensuring the tent withstands New Zealand’s diverse weather conditions.

Designed for ultimate convenience, the Summit features a 60mm padded mattress, ample internal storage pockets, oversized exterior shoe pockets, and a power cord entry for easy connection to powered sites. Plus, the slanted, 2.3m telescopic ladder makes entry a breeze – even when barefoot. Just like our extended Tuatara Summit model, the Summit comes standard with our 2-way windows, allowing you to easily control airflow with one zipper, giving you the option to choose solid or mesh, or even separate the two for the perfect setup.

After weeks of looking at every RTT online I settled on this. The 10,000mm waterproofness is by far the highest I have seen for a RTT. I was also drawn to how light it was. I have it set up on my off road trailer.I even managed to lift it on top all by myself. The black out is super dark. I like how the road cover also zips onto the frame, all the way around. My only gripe is that the little end protectors from the metal and fibre poles have fallen off as they are not glued and the small window tensioning poles seem slightly too long and a bit fiddly to put in. But these are minor faults and definitely do not take away from the quality of the product. Highly recommend.
