The Kakapo 8 is a versatile 2-room tent designed for smaller families. With 320g canvas for the walls, roof, and dividers, plus a heavy-duty PE floor, it offers durability and comfort. It sleeps 8 people, featuring one main entrance, and five windows—two of which have skylights and all equipped with ‘no-see-um’ mesh and canvas storm flaps. The 360° sewn internal walls ensure privacy, while bug-screened fold-away doors and a power cord entry add convenience. The tent’s floor area measures 16.5m², and it includes a peg mallet for easy setup.

Double-Stitched for maximum strength, ensuring durability where it matters most. The reinforced stitching provides added protection against wear and tear, keeping your tent reliable and ready for any adventure.
1100D PE Tent Floor – Crafted from heavy-duty 1100D polyethylene, this tent floor offers exceptional strength and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance in rugged conditions. The tough material resists abrasions, punctures, and wear, providing a reliable barrier against moisture and rough terrain to keep you dry and comfortable.
No-See-Um-Mesh allows for ample air circulation while keeping even the smallest bugs out.
2-way skylight windows with clear PVC for added light and an inner privacy screen for comfort in all conditions.

Passivated Steel Frame – The passivation process enhances corrosion resistance and reduces rust, making these poles ideal for coastal areas. This increases the frame’s lifespan, reduces wear on your tent, and provides more internal space and higher roof peaks.
Metal Pegging D’s – Our canvas tents feature heavy-duty metal pegging D’s for added strength and stability. Unlike inferior D’s, which can damage webbing when pegged, our durable design prevents tears, ensuring your tent stays secure and intact.
Triangle-shaped guy rope tensioners ensure a secure hold and prevent slipping.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Power cord entry makes it easy to plug in appliances or charge your phone when on a powered tent site.
Interior lantern hanging points for convenient in-tent lighting.
Quality zips, ropes and poles; All our tents use heavy-duty coil zips, guy ropes and poles so you can be assured your tent will last for many years of exciting family camping holidays.
Sunrooms are available separately and made from the same quality fabric as your canvas tent, including large windows, a loose-fit detachable floor, and an extra front door. They create a fully enclosed additional room or the three walls can be removed independently to create more outdoor flow.
