We camped on the side of the river and took the opportunity to try out the Turbo Cooker and lanterns.
We trialled the tent pitching of the Ruru Hiker tent in a forest near Taupo, then moved to the banks of Lake Taupo.
We were extremely impressed with how light and quick to put up it was, and it slept 5 without to much trouble, so definitely big enough!
The next morning we warmed up with a coffee from the Turbo. The cooker boiled water really quickly, even in the small digits of a Ruapehu morning, and was awesome for making coffees. The girls in the pics are Courtney Hubbard and Vicky Waijenberg, they were a part of our 5 person road trip.
