POWER & BATTERIES
FAQs
Q. Do I need to be connected to mains power to inflate my Tui Air Tent?
A. Nope — just the batteries!
Q. What if the tent batteries run out of charge?
A. We’ve included a manual air pump, so you can inflate it just like a normal air tent.
Q. Can the battery be replaced in the future?
A. Yes - batteries will be available seperately.
SETUP & CONFIGURATION
FAQs
Q. How do the bedrooms work?
A. Each Tui Air Tent features our integrated pod room system — a clever design that reduces condensation, gives you privacy, and keeps airflow just right. Because it’s built in, there’s no extra setup once your tent is pitched. In the Tui 4 & 6, you can create two separate sleeping areas with the divider, or roll it back for a single ample space. In the Tui 8, choose from three sleeping areas, two, or one large one.
Q. How long does it really take for the tent to inflate?
A. The Tui Air Tent inflates in under 10 minutes. Around the 3–4 minute mark, you may need to gently guide the air tubes so they inflate evenly. By 6–7 minutes, the tent reaches full pressure and the pump switches off automatically.
Q. Can I expand the tent's living space?
A. Yes! By connecting your Tui Air Tent to a Savanna Deluxe Shelter using the exact-fit connectors, you can create extra covered space for cooking, lounging, or storing gear. You can also link multiple Savanna Deluxe Shelters together for a larger setup with friends or family.
Q. Is it easy to pack down?
A. Absolutely. Simply deflate the air beams and fold the tent back into the bag the same way it was unfolded. The oversized bag makes packing down hassle-free at the end of your adventures.
Q. How well does the tent hold form once pitched?
A. The Tui Air Tent maintains its structure thanks to the oversized, pre-angled air beams, heavy-duty pegs, and robust guy ropes. This combination ensures your tent stays stable and secure, even in typical NZ conditions.
COMPATABILITY & ACCESSORIES
FAQs
Q. Are the Tui Air Tents compatible with my Savanna shelter?
A. Yes! All Tui Air Tents are compatible with Savanna Deluxe Shelter models. Use the exact-fit connector for a secure, watertight connection between your tent and shelter.
Q. What accessories are available with each tent?
A. Each Tui Air Tent comes with a mesh ground sheet, blackout fly, front wall, and exact-fit connector. For the Tui 6 & 8 models, there’s also an additional pod room accessory that allows you to sleep up to two extra people in your tent.
NOISE & COMFORT
FAQs
Q. Is the pump noisy when inflating?
A. Definitely not! The Tui Air Tent inflates quietly, making it perfect whether you’re setting up in the middle of the day or arriving at camp after dark.
Q. Are the Tui Air Tents suitable for family camping?
A. Absolutely! The Tui Air Tent is designed with families in mind. The auto-inflation takes the hassle out of pitching — especially when you’ve got kids. The configurable integrated pod rooms let you adjust sleeping arrangements as your family grows. Compatibility with the Savanna Deluxe Shelter range means you can expand your livable space or even connect with other families at camp. Other family-friendly features include anti-trip flooring in the bedrooms, convenient bed-height storage pockets, power cord access points, and hook-and-loop tabs for cable management — all designed to make family camping easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
DURABILITY & PERFORMANCE
FAQs
Q. How well will it stand up to weather conditions?
A. Very well! The Tui Air Tent has been extensively tested to handle New Zealand conditions. It features an 8,000mm double-coated waterproof rating, fully seam-sealed and double-stitched construction, UPF50+ UV protection, a 180gsm PE bucket floor, oversized pre-angled air beams, heavy-duty pegs, and robust guy ropes — ready for your camping adventures when you are!
Q. Are they really heavy?
A. Not at all. All Tui Air Tents weigh under 52kg, making them comparable to other air tents of similar size and specification, while still offering durability and comfort.
Q. What happens if I need to repair an air beam?
A. Each air beam can be isolated using the cross-over valves, so the rest of the tent stays inflated while you repair the affected beam. Repairs can be made with Tear-Aid Type B, providing a simple, effective fix.
